Scuba Gear
Finding scuba
gear can be difficult in some areas, mostly those landlocked areas
with dry climates, but the closer the ocean is the close a scuba diving
shop is as well. In many vacation spots they are on every block and
offer classes and training as well as personalized tours. There are
many places to explore underwater, from caves to coral reefs. Sunken
ships are very popular underwater destinations.
The basic components of scuba
gear are the cylinder or tank which is filled with compressed air,
a regulator, fins, mask and a wetsuit. These allow a diver to move around
unimpeded underwater with relative ease. There are many accessories
that can also be used such as underwater cameras and propulsion devices
which allow much larger areas to be explored.
Scuba gear
needs to be taken care of to get the most use out of it. The tank is
especially important, leaks around the nozzle where the regulator connects
are not uncommon and should be checked by placing soapy water around
all connections. If the soap bubbles there is a leak nearby which should
be fixed and possible replaced.
